My name is Power… actually, it’s Jocelyn! I started “My Name is Power” because our power lies in our name, our identity, and who we truly are authentically. As a collective, we are taught to conform to society and to give our power away so freely without even being aware of it until our tank is completely empty and we hit rock bottom. We search for our power in unhealthy coping mechanisms, toxic relationships, or workplaces, but the truth is that our power comes from within.
My journey began with a deep desire to heal myself. I had put all my worth into my job, my relationships, and my material items; when it was all gone, I felt nothing. I felt powerless. I felt hopeless. I felt alone. It seemed impossible to see the light at the end of the tunnel, but I did it. The patterns in my family lineage would tell me that it was impossible, but I stepped into my power and was able to fix everything externally by healing internally.
It’s my goal to help others find that pocket of gold light so that we can all say, “My Name is Power.”
